On the Canadian side of White Pass, there’s currently not any professional and organized mountain search and rescue team as well as backcountry medical team. In case of an emergency, be aware that the wait for outside help can be very long. You must be prepared and equipped to handle accidents independently.
Communication
There is no cellphone service in the White Pass area. The only available phone is a payphone at the Border Station in Fraser.
